AMP Foundation and TFN have announced the next phase of their long-standing partnership. Over the next 2 years, AMP Foundation will support the delivery of TFN’s Flagship program, amplifying the impact of 30+ high potential grassroots organisations addressing entrenched disadvantage in their local communities. As part of the expanded relationship, AMP Foundation will host a special Equity & Inclusion event in Sydney on 30 May and provide ongoing opportunities to their staff and advisors to learn about and contribute their money, time and expertise to grassroots organisations committed to creating a better tomorrow. AMP Foundation will provide both financial and non-financial support as part of the partnership.
“I am delighted to announce we are the recipients of this incredibly generous grant from AMP Foundation. As a founding partner of The Funding Network, the AMP Foundation has played a catalytic role in our impact to date,” said Kristen Lark, CEO at TFN. “Our shared belief in the power of everyday Australians to fuel social change has been the touchstone of our partnership. AMP Foundation’s understanding of the role TFN plays in influencing and enhancing others’ impact has enabled us to inspire more informed and more intentional generosity and direct that generosity towards the grassroots changemakers best placed to break cycles of disadvantage. With AMP Foundation's support, we look forward to accelerating both our impact and the collective impact of the grassroots organisations we serve.”
"From the very beginning, the AMP Foundation has been devoted to helping people create their tomorrow and providing start-up capital for early-stage entrepreneurs sits at the core of the foundation's mission,” confirms Nicola Stokes, CEO of AMP Foundation. “Through this expanded partnership with TFN, we will continue to inspire changemakers to transform their exceptional ideas into reality, develop them, and subsequently secure additional funding and support to fuel their growth.”
After celebrating a decade of unleashing Australia’s capacity to give in 2023, TFN has set out a bold vision for igniting grassroots giving to fuel social change. By 2030, our aim is to Unleash Australia’s Capacity for Good. We will do this by:
· Facilitating $50 million for 1,000 initiatives and supporting 5,000 changemakers,
· Inspiring 50,000 people to invest their time and money in social change,
· Changing the trajectory of 500,000 lives.
“Catalyst Partners like AMP Foundation will play an essential role in helping TFN achieve this vision," says Kristen Lark. "We look forward to engaging with more like-minded people and organisations who understand the value of supporting changemakers through capacity building and coordinated efforts that inspire and facilitate widespread community participation in giving.”
In order to garner increased support for addressing entrenched disadvantage Australia-wide, TFN will now organise their Flagship event program and ongoing capacity-building efforts around specific key focus areas. These four focus areas - Thriving Young People, Equity & Inclusion, First Nations and Local Communities - represent what TFN has identified as requiring the most acute funding need over the next three years.
In March, TFN will deliver three events, with the Sydney and Melbourne events focused on Thriving Young People and a regional event in Wagga Wagga, NSW featuring local organisations as selected by local partners.
TFN’s May and June live crowdfunding events in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane will focus on Equity & Inclusion. Applications to pitch at the event are open now and will close on Thursday March 21st.
