Hosted by Clayton Utz, this special Sydney event featured three grassroots charities delivering programs addressing social inclusion and diversity in the workplace.
Huge congratulations to our incredible pitching organisations; Free to feed, First Hand Solutions, and The Pinnacle Foundation.
Over 150 people attended on the night of the notorious US election result and an incredibly generous crowd came together to pledge over $74,000. What a brilliant result. Thank you all!

Free to feed is a hands-on training and employment project run by social enterprise, Free To Ltd. The project uses an innovative model - a pop-up cooking school - as a meaningful employment and isolation-busting opportunity for asylum seekers and refugees. To continue this important work, they are seeking support to fund their own registered commercial kitchen, as a headquarters for the cooking school and to be developed into a micro-enterprise hub, supporting and training refugees and asylum seekers in a range of food-related enterprises. freetomelbourne.org

First Hand Solutions provide hands on solutions to issues faced by Aboriginal people by reconnecting young Indigenous people to traditional culture through the passing down of knowledge and skills from elders which is achieved through both their community programs and Social Enterprise- the Blak markets. This in turn builds resilience, confidence and self-esteem in young people to take on and embrace modern day living. First Hand Solutions is seeking funds to employ a young at risk Indigenous person to learn and work on their Blak Markets and community programs. The young person will be trained in Barista, retail, food supervision and other duties, including managing their online and pop up shops, and assisting in the delivery of their programs in schools and community. firsthandsolutions.org

The Pinnacle Foundation is a national charity providing scholarships and mentors to 16-24 year old lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, intersex or queer (LGBTIQ) students who are marginalised because of their gender or sexual identity. Too many young LGBTIQ people suffer from crushing discrimination and rejection by their families, communities or faiths, and their self-esteem and mental health suffers. As a result they often lose the environment, money and support needed to keep up their studies. The Pinnacle Foundation Scholarship Program seeks assistance to help turn vulnerable youth into accomplished students and future leaders, by assisting in funding their education through a scholarship program. thepinnaclefoundation.org
